Eczema

Eczema, also called atopic dermatitis, makes skin dry, itchy and inflamed. Care starts with daily moisturizer, gentle washing and a prescription cream for flares.
For eczema that keeps coming back, there are pills and injected medicines. Dr. Ashdown talks through which ones fit you.
Psoriasis

Psoriasis causes thick, scaly patches, often on the elbows, knees and scalp. Some people also have joint pain, so tell us if your joints ache or swell.
Treatment can include creams, light therapy, pills, and biologic medicines given by injection. We do not offer light therapy in the office; when it is the right choice, we refer you.
Biologic medicines and insurance

Biologic medicines usually need approval from your insurance plan before the pharmacy fills them. Our staff send the forms and follow up with your plan. Dr. Ashdown checks in at regular visits while you take one.
